When? 23 August 2009 Where? La’al Ratty
(Ravenglass & Eskdale railway) This year sees a
return the ever popular La’al Ratty, The Railway runs for seven miles (11.3 kilometres) from the Lake
District National Park's only coastal village of Ravenglass in the Western Lake
District, through hidden Miterdale, to the grandeur of the Eskdale valley. The
terminus at Dalegarth for Boot nestles at the foot of England's highest
mountains The bus will depart from outside the front of B&M’s (old Woolworths
store) at approximately 9am on the Sunday morning and will return about 5pm
from Ravenglass. Remember this is a family event, and friends and family are
strongly encouraged to join us. Price for the bus has yet to be fixed, but the
more that come along the less the trip will cost (about £6.50 per adult, £2.50
