Longwaitby is our British 'OO' layout and features many angles from which to grab a different view.

There is always something going on here, we have Steam through to Diesel, passenger through to Freight. From LNER, GWR & LMS to BR, ScotRail & many more we can keep an ever changing perspective that makes playing train fun!

And if you are not satisfied with that, now and then the peace is shattered with the rumblings of the Yanks and their massive locomotives from Union Pacific, Conrail and the likes. We have one member who at the last count has over 300+ American and Canadian locos and the rolling stock to go with it.

So it really does not matter what you would like to run here, the main point is all about having fun and enjoying yourself.

Longwaitby has under gone a slight transformation over the past few months, the addition of a steam shed and a diesel depot.

Work to replace all the track and points has also been completely finished, track and point work has taken it toll over the years and it was about time to refresh it.

Cross baseboard joints have been eliminated. Ballasting and scenery work has still yet to carried out. It has also been suggested that we should maybe think about renewing the wiring and simplifying the control panels as they take some getting used to.
